Kevin was gone Tuesday through Saturday this week for an IITAP conference. It was a long time and we sure missed him but he had a great experience and we are happy about that! He taught a day-long class on the Karpman triangle and then taught a one-hour class on the use of technology with therapy. He also got to network with bigwigs, go on runs with colleagues, and even visit his aunt! Good times!
I watched Avery twice this week. I also researched baseboard cutting and reinstallation so that I will be ready when the floor is done. I measured and labeled all the baseboards we have that can still go back and I bought the tools I think I'll need for the whole process. It all had to be done and I spent a lot of time on it! Also this week, I went to a reception for a friend of ours. Kevin had to miss it but Cheyenne came with me since she knew the bride (and I knew the groom)! We had a fun time.
Calianne came home from school this week!! Yay! We are excited to have her living at home again! She finished finals on Monday. On Tuesday, she moved out of her dorm with the help of her friends but sounded like a lot of work! Her friend and roommate, Kia, didn't fly home until Saturday so she came with Cali back to our house. They spent the days adventuring! On Tuesday, they left here at 1pm and drove to Moab (3hrs), Did four hikes in 5 hrs including Delicate Arch, and then drove back to Springville to get home at midnight! On Wednesday, they slept in a little then drove with Jordan up to Ogden to visit their friend, Matthew's home town. They got home even later that night! On Friday they went to the temple, went for a run, took Kia's things to her uncle's, made us all waffles for dinner, and then did something else afterward. On Saturday morning, they accidentally overslept their alarm, but still managed to get Kia to the airport in time to catch her flight home! Whew! What a busy, fun week for Calianne!
Bethany had another track meet and did swell! She spent most of Saturday trying to catch up on math homework and was very excited to have gotten enough done to go out with her friends that evening. She and Ben, Max, and Annaliese went with the Koger's to see the play Claire is the stage manager for at the high school. They had a great time and afterward the Kogers even hosted a hot dog roast in their backyard. Such fun times!
Beth and Ben also had karate this week. Ben also had a tennis lesson and a guitar lesson. He had a recital for guitar where he did great playing "You Can do Anything." He went shooting at a shooting range with real guns for YM. He said he liked the 22 better than the handgun! He also worked for our neighbor for an hour helping her with her yard which he will probably do once a week now which would be cool. His favorite game in VR is Beat Saber. It seems to be quite the workout! I guess there isn't a danger of sitting too much with that type of gaming!
Savannah is working her two jobs and keeping very busy. I enjoy the conversations I get to have with her in the mornings. She's a great girl!
