It was the first full week of summer! Monday was Memorial Day so we had a picnic up the canyon. There were many other families up there enjoying the weather and McKay challenged the family next to us to a game of wiffleball. We were down in the third inning but pulled it out in the fourth! We had such fun and it was a beautiful day!
Benjamin started his job working for my boss helping her with odd jobs around the house where we see clients. This week he spent about four hours knocking out the weeding. I think he's going to make a big difference there. Also, he feels like he will enjoy the work, which if you can enjoy your work, all the better! He's also still had plenty of time to play video games. He's also gone to friend's houses for "group hangouts" and been on a run and been to the resevoir with friends. On Friday night, the young men from church had a backpacking campout up Hobble Creek Canyon. Ben had a great time! On Saturday night he went to the church dance and decided he had a better time at the campout. Ha ha! Ben also has his learner's permit and we spent an hour starting to learn to drive!
Bethany has been listening to Harry Potter and using her markers to color in coloring books. She has been able to go to a couple of group hangouts, as well, and had a great time at the dance Saturday night! When her sisters ask me to watch their little ones, it's usually Beth who plays with them the most and does most of the work. She is wonderful with them! But her most fun was Wednesday night when she went to the concert of one of her favorite singers, Lyn Lapid, and Cheyenne, Calianne, and Savannah went and partied with her! She went shopping for a new outfit the day of with Megan and Cheyenne and she did look amazing! She had a great time and said it was the best night of her life so far!
Savannah was the real hero for the concert night because she was the driver to Salt Lake City and back. Plus, she bought Beth two concert t-shirts. So fun! She was not feeling well over the weekend but was back to health by Wednesday. This weekend she got her birds moved into her room which was a big project and she got it done!
School for Cali has made it so she hasn't been able to do as much with her friends as she would like, but this weekend, she took the time to go on a campout that Richmond and Jason planned with three of her other girl friends. They went to Capitol Reef and had a great time!
Chey couldn't go because she worked Saturday night. She worked Tuesday night, as well, and had her temple shift Thursday morning. She's met up with friends throughout the week and her sisters, as well and made dinner with Ben!
I got to go on the sisters picnic this week. The weather has been so beautiful! Blue, blue skies and green mountains framing green grass and green trees. The colors are so clear and vibrant! So, we had a great time at the park next to BYU (so that Cali could come). Ben came, too! So the sibling missing was Mariah who is still in Hawaii! We miss her! But, we did get an adorable picture of 2 month old Evelyn.
