Which is why we couldn't leave on Tuesday! Cali and Chey had their first game! They played away against Lone Peak in the sophomore game. Cheyenne got to start! Fun! They both did great and scored points and stole balls. Way to go Skinners! It was fun to watch them.
Wednesday morning the forecast said no snow until three and that would be in Cedar City. So, we packed up the car and headed for Thanksgiving fun! The roads were good and we did find the beginnings of snow in Cedar as we arrived. We had a yummy chili dinner with Maggie and then went bowling (14 people on one lane takes two hours to bowl FYI!). Amy's family met us there. Yay!
Thursday was lots of cooking and visiting as well as Thanksgiving movies and family games (charades and Matthew, Mark, Luke and John)! The kids also went out and made some snowmen in the ever-piling snow and went sledding at a nearby sledhill. We all made great memories and the turkey was yum, yum, yummy!
Friday gave us another short break in the weather so we left early and dashed home before Springville got buried in the next snowstorm. It turned out to be timed just right! Which was especially great because . . .
Friday was Mariah's birthday!! She is officially nineteen years-old. Wow. Still a teenager, but all growed up! She wanted to play a family game of basketball so we went to the stake center and Kevin, Cheyenne, and I played against Mariah, Cali, Beth, and Ben. We were pretty evenly matched and we had a great time! We need to do that more often! We came home and had hamburgers with Grandma and Grandpa Gazdik, ate cake, and watched a ball game and a movie. Good times. Happy Birthday Mariah! We love you!
Saturday we did some shopping and also went to Grandma's house for a Hallmark movie. It finally stopped snowing, too, and the sun came out!
Sarah has been in Arizona all week with McKay's family. They are driving back today and had a great Thanksgiving, too!
