On Monday morning of last week, Kevin, Savannah, and I woke up to this view of Niagara Falls from our hotel room. Beautiful!

Sunrise!

Breakfast buffet was included with the price of our room and the windows of the restaurant looked over the Falls, too! When we were done, we walked down to the Falls and saw both up close. It was a beautiful day and the falls are an impressive display of nature. I was surprised by how wet you get even at the top of the falls. So much spray! Anyway, I loved it. Kevin and Savannah loved it, too.

We headed back to Toronto after that going through the quaint town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. We had some Canadian poutine in the airport and bought a couple more souvenirs. Then we flew home. It was really a fun trip.

The kids did a great job taking care of each other while we were gone and even had a fun visit with Matt and his family which, I am told, included much ice cream and a Marvel movie! Speaking of which, we took the whole family to see the movie we've been waiting for and the whole world seems to have already seen since it's been out practically a week (we're so slow). It was a ton of fun to see the movie and to be together again.

On Thursday, believe it or not, Kevin had to leave again. This time he flew to Arizona for an IITAP conference. He taught one of the classes and attended others. He got a nice surprise, though, when they awarded him Publication of the Year and he was there to receive it. Go Kevin! He definitely deserves it.

Sarah finished all her finals this week and is officially done with her college semester. Go Sarah! She kind of hated the idea at first and wondered what she was going to do with her life now? Since then, she has played tennis, gone on dates with her boyfriend, been to a ward choir dinner, stayed up late with night games in the park, and had a rambunctious game of melon ball at a local pool. This has served to reassure her that life is full of fun things. Crazy kid.

Savannah has gone back to full-time hours at work. They had a May the Fourth party combined with a Cinco de Mayo party on Friday (the 3rd) where they ate tacos and Savannah brought light sabers (pretzel rods dipped in colored chocolate). Fun times!

Mariah ran in the BYU Invitational Track Meet on Friday and Saturday. I watched her run the 3200 Friday morning with "the fastest runners in Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming." I thought she did fantastic! It was an honor just to be in the race. She ran the mile and the 800 on Saturday as well.

"Grand" is Mariah's favorite adjective.

Cali and Chey had a track meet on Friday, as well. They wore their new matching track shirts to school and I got a picture. At the meet, Cali ran the mile, the 800, and the 4x400. Cheyenne ran the hurdles, the 200, and the 4x400. They both placed and had a great time!
