We had a very busy week!

Sunday was Seminary Graduation for Mariah. Mariah loved her time in seminary and I love that. She learned a lot about herself and where true joy comes and that God will always be there rooting for her. We got pictures with other graduates from our ward and then made sure we got pictures with Alex who moved to our new ward so is the only grad who Mariah grew up with and we have memories of them being little in Sunday School together!

Monday was Mariah's track banquet. She earned an academic all-state letter and her Varsity letter and was also awarded the Outstanding Athlete award. Wow, girl! Her coach said a lot of nice things about how hard she works and how she does a lot to encourage the whole team. It was neat to see her honored in that way.

Tuesday Beth and Ben had their end-of-school dance concert. Every grade does a dance together. Sarah and I watched and had great fun watching both Beth and Ben really jazz up the field! I had to take pictures at home because they were too far away for good pictures at the school.

Tuesday, Cheyenne and Calianne had their awards assembly and a track party after school. Cheyenne got the coach's award and Cali got an award for being team captain. They both got papers listing their PRs, too, which I thought was a neat idea. They also received some academic awards during the in-school assembly. They are pretty cool kids!

Wednesday, Sarah attended the temple for the first time! She has been preparing for quite some time and we are so pleased that she has wanted it as part of her life and then made it happen. What a girl! We had lots of friends from Brookside who showed up at the session to support her and made it all the more special. We went out to eat afterward. It was really a great night.

On Thursday, Mariah graduated from High School! Ahhh! She graduated with High Honors and as a part of the Chinese Honor Society. Her YW president got her a lei. She looked great and we all went and watched her and soaked up the Pomp and Circumstance! It was a rainy, cold day, so we took pictures indoors. Afterwards, we had a barbecue at our house. That night, she went to the all-night party at the high school! Fun times! Congratulations Class of 2019!

Friday was officially the last day of school!! Yay!! My kids ae all very excited to be out for the summer! Now, if the weather could just warm up a bit we might feel like summer is really here! That's alright. We'll party as if it is summer, with or without the sun!

We made it through the last week of school!

Last week was Mother's Day! Kevin's mom came over and we had a lovely dinner and presents. I love being a mom and I love my mom and Kevin's mom, too. So, it was a great day! (Plus, I got to talk to Megan!)

I got these pretty flowers, too!

On Monday, Mariah was recognized at the Senior Award Assembly for being Athletic All-State in three sports and for her sports scholarship to Dixie. I managed to slip in at just the right moment and cheer her on!

On Monday, Ben had his 3rd grade track meet. He ran the 50, the 100, and the 400. He won all his heats and nothing overall and we're super proud of him. He did great and gave it his all!

On Tuesday and Wednesday, Cheyenne and Calianne had their district track meet. On Tuesday, Chey ran the hurdles and the 200, Cali ran the mile and the 800 leg of the medley. On Wednesday, Chey ran the 400 and the 800, Cali also ran the 800 and the 4x400. They both did great and I loved cheering them on!

Thursday was Mariah's state track meet! (Yes, it was Track Meet Week for the Skinner's). Mariah qualified for the 2-mile for state which is a big deal. She was super happy with her finish as she PRed by 7 seconds. Go Mariah!

On Friday . . . I did not go to a track meet. Weird, right? That was good because it rained and rained and rained! It was not so good because Cali and Chey went on a hiking field trip to Stewart Falls and it snowed and snowed and snowed! They thought it was great fun, though, so maybe it is all good afterall!

Cali and Chey also had a basketball tournament this weekend. Chey played in games Thursday night, Cali played in games Friday night, and they both had a game on Saturday. Fun times! I even went with Dad to watch most of them and they played great.

On Saturday Chey, Cali, and Beth had a piano recital. They played great and sounded fabulous! So proud of them and the skill they are developing.

Whew! Is that everything? No, actually, on Tuesday evening we wished our Grandpa Jim a very happy birthday! That was fun, too!
