I worked all week at my morning job this week and it wasn't too bad! I really like the hours. I'm actually doing alright with 6am and I love being done by 9am. Kevin and the kids seem to be doing great getting ready for the day together and also going to bed a bit earlier at night! I think I will enjoy it.
Otherwise, I've been spending the majority of my time getting ready for our redecorating trip to Florida. I sewed and embroidered a pillow, created and ordered pictures--both metal and paper, and put in a large order at Amazon scheduled to deliver while we are there! I hope we aren't forgetting anything and also hoping that when everything gets put together that I like it as much in reality as I do in my head!
We've done some fun stuff as a family this week, too! On Wednesday, Beth, Ben, and I went with our church youth group to Salt Lake City. The chief civil engineer (a friend of our Bishop's) took us around the temple renovation site and explained in detail the changes being made and the monumental challenges of the engineering team. It was very cool. We ended up at the conference center and the kids loved seeing that too! It was a long activity and took all afternoon and evening but I think the kids really enjoyed it and it was super impressive!

On Thursday, Megan needed a ride to a racquetball tournament in West Valley so I got to go with her and watch her play! She was very awesome. What a fun game! I loved watching her play and getting to talk with her on the way there and back. Love that girl!
On Friday, Bethany had her last cross country meet of the year! Sarah, Megan, Cheyenne, Ben, Grandma, and Grandpa and of course, Kevin and I, all came to watch. She did great! And it was such a beautiful day.

I do not know why I'm on the phone in this picture! Maybe trying to find Ben. |
On Saturday, we had our biggest adventure of the week! We drove down to Cedar City to watch Mariah run! It's about a three hour drive but that is her closest meet and we have family there and we want to see that cute girl!! Cali and Cheyenne both spent the night at our house Friday night so they could come with us (Kevin and I, Beth and Ben). We took the van and those college kids worked on homework thoroughout the drive so they could come. It was so fun to have them and I know Mariah loved it.
Mariah ran at 10:30. It was another beautiful day in a beautiful spot, Cedar Ridge Golf Course. Grandma and Grandpa Gazdik came up the day before and met us there. Also, Mariah's cousin, Kayla who is at SUU, came too! It was so fun to watch her run! Afterwards, we took pictures and hung out while she did her cool-down run. Then we went out to eat at Jimmy-John's (Beth's favorite!). Kevin was craving sweets and Mariah's favorite is doughnuts, so we found some of those and found a park to hang out in for awhile. Then Kayla needed to leave so we took Mariah's car to a few auto places to try to figure out why she had lights flashing warnings on her dashboard. Finally, we went to Jamba Juice to wait for cousin, Becca, so we could see her real quick before we had to leave. It was a super fun trip! It was so fun to be with Mariah, but, as usual, super hard to say goodbye, too!

A braiding line was started and everyone needed to get in on the action, including Grandpa! |
