Sarah went to Preference this week.  She asked David, a boy that she and her friends all know, and had a great time!  She and her friends Allyson, Ashlyn, and Ashley made a group and had dinner together at Ashlyn’s house, took pictures at Magleby’s, and went to the dance at the Art Museum.  She borrowed a bride’s maid dress from a friend and it fit perfectly and looked great on her.  She thinks maybe this was her favorite dance, yet.  I think it was because she didn’t stress about any of it and just enjoyed herself.

Megan had a gazillion tests this week.  They kept her busy studying and going to early-morning study sessions.  She also had track practice and worked at Funfinity.  She is a busy girl.

Mariah had her basketball banquet on Monday night.  It was a fancy affair in best dress and with catered food.  There was a video with season highlights, the coaches spoke and each of the seniors talked about what they learned from basketball.  One of the girls is the daughter of a former NFL quarterback and he even gave an inspirational talk.  It was a really nice night and we’re glad that she can be having that experience.  She also, of course, ran track all week as well as practicing basketball.  She’s also going to start officiating at soccer games for Springville’s spring season!

Chey and Cali enjoyed a week with no extra things after school!  It definitely hasn’t happened for a long time!  They did still have piano lessons, but otherwise, they hung out with some friends or read books after school.  Now and then they really get into their books.

Bethany had her talent show this week!  Grandma, Ben, and I went to watch!  She played a piano song and sang along.  I thought she was adorable and my absolute favorite act!  These youngsters doing talent shows don’t compare themselves to each other at all and they are just pleased with the chance to perform.  It’s so fun that they give them the opportunity!

Benjamin enjoyed his week at school.  He learned about April Fool’s Day and even learned a song to sing!  I need to get it on video.  One of the first things he did on the morning of April Fool’s Day was say, “Guys!  It’s 10 o’clock! *pause* April Fool’s Day! *hysterical laughter*”  It was pretty darn cute.  He is pretty darn cute!

On Friday night, Kevin and I drove up for his 25 year mission reunion!  There was some really good Chinese food!  We also had fun talking to old mission companions and his sweet mission president.

We left Saturday morning for California and drove all day to arrive at Kevin’s brother’s house in Palos Verdes that night.  We’ve had a great time today watching conference together and visiting, walking along the beach and playing games!  Unfortunately, Kevin has been sick!  We hope he is feeling better soon and the whole vacation isn’t ruined for him.
