Two weeks ago was a big week in our life, too!  So I shall attempt to remember it and tell you about it now.

It was the last week of school!  Actually, I don't think Savannah really went!  Her classes ended the week before.  She did need to attend for graduation practice on Tuesday but I don't think that actually counts.  Her last day at Funfinity was Wednesday.  She is sure going to miss that job.  She liked it so much!  Graduation was Thursday evening!  Savannah was on the list for High Honors (GPA of 3.7 and above) and had an asterisk by her name for being a member of the National Honor Society.  She wore cords for both of those things as well as purple cords for Chinese Honor Society.  I thought it was super neat!  She has worked hard and it is great to see her accomplish so much.  It was a great day!

We went out to eat beforehand with Grandma and Grandpa Gazdik.

That night Savannah went to her school for their all-night party.  She and her friends had a great time!  She was pretty wiped out the next day, though.  I don't think she'll be staying up through the night again anytime too soon!

Sarah's last full day of classes was Wednesday.  She finished a tough year and was glad to close her books and call it a year!  She even managed to get that A in Chemistry that she was worried about!  She and Megan and Mariah and Savannah all went to see Captain America before we left for graduation festivities on Thursday.  Those sisters are a good support to one another.  It's pretty cool to see.

Megan and Mariah went to school all the way through Friday!  But . . . they did take Thursday off.  The rest of the school went to Lagoon and we needed them home for graduation, so they stayed home and went to the movies with their sisters.  They had an awards ceremony during school on Tuesday and they both came home with awards.  They are good kids and I'm proud of all the hard work they did this year at school, too!

Cheyenne and Calianne went to school every day, but then, they love school and it is more like play the last week of Elementary School.  They also had their last day of tennis.  At their piano lessons, they got a surprise when all their hard work on memorizing songs earned them trophies!  They had a fun week.  I am just sad that I don't get to call them "my fourth graders" anymore!
Bethany didn't have to go to school at all since Kindergarten ended the week before.  It was a good thing since we were being super, ultra careful with her newly-broken arm.  She started feeling better after a couple of days and was up and playing with friends.  Her only rules:  no jumping, no running, no climbing.  It worked out pretty well.

Benjamin was sometimes careful around Beth and sometimes not.  He was really difficult at Savannah's graduation!  Somehow, we managed to still love him through it all.  Did I mention that he has learned to pedal his bike?  He zooms up and down the street!

We spent all of Friday packing for our trip and left Saturday morning for Nauvoo!  Saturday we drove from Springville to Gothenburg, NE and camped at a KOA there.  I thought it would be great fun since they have a swimming pool.  When we got there we found out that there was indeed a pool, but there was no water in it!  I thought Sarah might pass out from laughing.  We had a nice night there anyway and it was a good place to stop after 11 hours in the car!

Sunday we broke camp and drove into Lincoln for a little reminiscing!  We showed the kids some of our favorite spots in Lincoln and took a picture with Savannah in front of her first home!

We went to church in Lincoln.  We recognized no one but it was neat to remember the fond memories we have of that building!  After that, we drove on to Gallatin, MO.  Kevin has a cousin living there and they welcomed us into their home and fed us Sunday dinner!  They are the nicest people!  We loved being with them.  We rested there the rest of the evening and spent the first of two nights there while we saw the sights in Missouri.  I'll tell you more about that in my next post about last week!
