McKay had a launch party for his new album this week! We got to listen to all his new songs while eating snacks and hanging out with family and friends. He did great! It was so fun to hear about the composing process and the things he is learning about recording and making great songs. Check him out on Spotify! His new album is "I'm Coming Home."

Savannah got new bees this week! She had to clean out the hive and that was tough work. She got it done though and the new bees moved in last night. She is a font of information on bees! It's fun to see her following this interest again.

Bethany made it to choir and musical theatre all this week. Yay! She also went on a picnic with her sisters and to YW on Wednesday night where they played blacklight pickleball. She said that was really fun!

Benjamin could not fully participate in track this week because of a large blister he got on the bottom of his foot after playing tennis with his family last Saturday! He did do some biking as cross-training, though, and biked out to Utah Lake, where he needed to be rescued because of bike chain difficulties. He also had guitar and his Chinese tutor.

Calianne worked everyday this week for BYU custodial. She is enjoying earning money again! But is also missing extra time with her sisters. We still see her very often and I love it. She went out with Richmond some more and they even got to see Wicked at the Eccles Center. Amazing stuff!

Cheyenne worked hard trying to find a car to buy this week. Grandpa and Grandma Gazdik were her fearless partners. Cheyenne says she is now "a car person" because she has learned so much about cars, but she still wishes she had already found one so the process could be over! She also went to a bachelorette party for her friend Aspen and to a basic life saving course to get ready for her job.

Kevin is busy, busy, busy. Too busy. He needs some time for himself, but for now, there is none in sight. I'm glad he still wants to spend time with me! He is a good man.

I am loving school and work and being with my family. I'm also so excited about the days getting warmer. I got this picture of the pheasant that lives in our back yard and his wife.

This week was Easter! We had family devotionals every night (we accidentally skipped Friday night but we made up for it on Saturday!). We've heard from each of our kids as they took a different day of Holy Week and gave us a spiritual thought about what happened on that day in the life of Jesus. We've done it before and it's been really meaningful for us! On Saturday morning we all went to the theatre and watched the new animated movie, King of Kings. It was very good and we really enjoyed keeping Christ in our thoughts that way! Today is Easter. Church was fantastic. Tonight we will have a big family dinner and color Easter eggs. It's been a great holiday!

We celebrated Grandma Gazdik's 80th birthday this week! Jim hosted a fancy dinner for everyone at Magleby's. Family came from out of town, Jim and Naoma both spoke, and McKay sang. We visited with family members we hadn't seen for a while and really had an enjoyable time. Naoma has given so much to us and we are so grateful for her in our lives!

In other news, Bethany is now officially a homeschooled student! She is still attending choir and theatre. When she is home she is giving her body the rest it needs and taking the chances she can to be with her sisters and her nieces and nephew. We are really enjoying the freedom to focus on what she can do rather than what she can't! This week, she went on a picnic with her sisters and Avery. On another day, she went with Megan and Cheyenne to help Mariah get ready for her newborn baby pictures. On Friday night, Claire and Analiese came over and she helped them make a boutenire for A's prom date. Lots of fun times!

Benjamin also had a birthday this week!! Ben turned 15! He is not really a kid anymore! He had school and track on his birthday and he wanted to go see a movie that night with his friends so we will celebrate as a family tonight. Beth and I did take him out to Chubby's for a quick dinner and had great fun interviewing him! He had guitar and Chinese lessons this week and went to track practice everyday. On Saturday he ran the 400m in the track meet and did great. Chey, Cali, Kevin, and I went and watched!

Calianne interviewed for a summer job working as a janitor at BYU. She has been hired and will start in a week and a half! She has also decided to attend spring semester and is signing up for classes! She is looking forward to being busy again! (Which is funny because she fills her life with fun things from morning to evening! But she will be busy in other ways.)

Cheyenne interviewed to work as a CNA at the local hospital. She hears back on Monday! She is also busy filling her life with fun things like time with her sisters, tennis, running, hiking, times with her friends, the temple, and reading in the yard. She and Cali are go, go, go. Kevin and I laugh at how quickly they have taken up life and action once again.

This week was spring break! We wanted to spend time being together as a complete family so we rented an Airbnb for four nights that could accommodate all of us! We reserved it months ago and we knew Mariah would need to be close to home and the hospital because it was so close to her due date. So, the house we rented was only 25 minutes north of our house in Lindon. We didn't go anywhere glamorous or even far away, but we had such a fun time!! Megan and Sarah planned activities and we also had free time to talk and play games. We had a Christmas celebration even where we set up a Christmas tree and stockings, we went to the dollar store to buy presents, we ate French toast, and opened our presents in the morning. It was so fun to have Christmas with Chey and Cali since they had missed the family celebration twice while on their missions! We played volleyball in the backyard, sat in the hot tub, and had a pickleball tournament at a nearby park. Every day we ate well with the food shared and planned. In between it all, babies got fed and children took naps and McKay played guitar and we all sang and made up songs. By Saturday morning when we needed to leave, no one wanted to leave! My heart was full. I love that we can be together and enjoy each other so much. They are all such great people!
